Hotel Transylvania is a kid’s cartoon comedy about Dracula, voiced by Adam Sandler, who is the owner of a hotel where “monsters” can be hidden from humans. He takes in a human, Jonathan, whom he claims is a party organizer for his daughter’s birthday to keep the others in the hotel from thinking otherwise. His daughter, Mavis, enjoys having free realm to go about as she pleases, but when a plan to keep her away from the real world backfires, Mavis resents him. The remaining question that stands is if the two will ever reconcile. To the older audience, the movie itself is dry and lacks comic appeal. However, to a younger group, the jokes are spot on, and the plot is easy to follow. Overall, the movie is a family friendly film, but more enjoyable for the younger crowd.
