All day today, Snack for Saras is taking place on the roof of the high school.
Snacks for Saras is a fundraiser for the junior class. From 7a.m. to 7p.m., Assistant Principle Jay Saras will be on the roof while students, parents and teachers send him food via a slingshot.
The cost to participate is $1.
“My ideal snack would be Fiori’s pizza,” Saras said.
Students will be able to participate up during all lunches, and after school.
Since the fundraiser started this morning, potatoes, cotton candy, pears and granola have been thrown.
“I think it’s a great idea,” Saras said.
To occupy time when no one is around to throw things, Saras plans to do his schoolwork and watch some Netflix shows. Saras also plans to live-tweet and possibly do a video stream.
“I think it’s going to be a beautiful day,” Saras said.
