Dodge, duck, dip, dive, dodge: Junior class hosts tourney

BY SAMI SCHERRER

Staff Writer

Students who miss the days of playing dodgeball in gym class or who were inspired by the Average Joe’s in the movie Dodgeball now have a chance to put their skills to the test.

The junior class is sponsoring a dodgeball tournament open to all students and teachers on Feb. 28 from 3 to 6 p.m. in both gyms. Sign-ups for the tournament will be from Feb. 17 to 26, and the cost of competing is $5 per person or $30 per team.A team must have six people and can consist of both students and teachers.

“Students can get the chance to take down their favorite teacher,” junior class cabinet member Alexx Suchy said.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Brock McCormack Scholarship Fund and the junior class.

“This is a great way to get the whole school together and dodgeball is fun,” Suchy said.
