Costumed teachers raise $1,400 for charity

BY BECKY TERLESKI
Staff Writer

The final count is in: Baldwin raised more than a thousand dollars for the annual KDKA Turkey Fund this year during the Halloween costume contest for teachers.
Teachers who participated by dressing up and collecting money from students raised $706.70. PNC Bank matches any amount over $50, which brought the grand total to $1,413.40.
That’s enough to provide a Thanksgiving meal to 94 needy families in the greater Pittsburgh area, said Brigetta Hannah, sponsor of the National Honor Society, which organized the event.
