Baldwins girls tennis team competes in the fall, and boys compete in the spring.

The Baldwin boys tennis team defeated Woodland Hills on Monday, 4-1.
“We finished points and games well,” sophomore Carter Smeal said. “We did well in limiting unforced errors and not losing bad points.”
Smeal said junior Sam Vogel played a key role for the Highlanders.
“Sam Vogel helped us get points in the games he served,” Smeal said. “He played well as a team with Seth Franco.”
Senior Kismat Bista agreed that Vogel and Franco, a senior, played well for the Highlanders.
“Seth and Sam made a good comeback because they were down,” Bista said. “They then started winning at the end and ultimately won the whole match.”
Bista also thought Smeal played well for the team.
“Carter played really well, as he wouldn’t give up,” Bista said. “He was chasing the ball and wouldn’t let it go out.”
Although they won, Smeal said there were many things to improve on.
“We need to work on our mental game to help us win more matches and finish the season strong,” he said.
Bista, meanwhile, said the team could improve with their volleys.
