A “Purple Out” was held today in memory of physical education teacher George McCormack, who passed away over the Thanksgiving weekend. Senior Class President Tony Thornton was impressed with the number of students who dressed up.
“I’m really glad to see a lot of support for Mr. McCormack, and this really shows that we can come together and do something as a school,” Thornton said.
The school has also put up poster boards, where students can write their farewells and send support to McCormack’s family. The posters are located across from the concession stand in the gym hallway.
