Every student at Baldwin High School has read excerpts from The Odyssey, whether it be about his fight with the Cyclops or his time spent on Calypso’s island.
A new movie version of The Odyssey is one of several highly anticipated projects of the summer.
With Christopher Nolan as the director and many famous actors starring in the movie, such as Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, and Tom Holland, viewers can expect a thrilling adventure. The plot will follow Odysseus’s expedition back to Ithaca, during which he faces all sorts of obstacles. The movie will be released July 17.
Zendaya and Holland also will be featured in the Marvel movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
A fresh start is given to Peter Parker, as he has erased all memories of himself from his loved ones. While dedicated to protecting New York City all by himself, the pressure intensifies as he faces a powerful threat and undergoes a physical evolution.
This movie, due out July 31, will be Holland’s and Zendaya’s fourth appearance on screen together in the Spiderman franchise. Their first time was back in 2017 for the movie Spiderman: Homecoming.
Another movie coming out in the summer is Steven Spielberg’s take on a sci-fi thriller, Disclosure Day. The film focuses on a former government agent’s effort to reveal the scary truth about aliens. It will be released on June 12.
This movie poses the question of what would happen if humanity was not alone on Earth. A few of the actors in this movie are Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, and Colin Firth.
Meanwhile, Disney’s live-action Moana will explore the journey of Moana, played by Catherine Laga’aia, and her friendship with the demigod Maui, played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
The story sticks to the animated story from 2016, in which Moana gets called to the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti and save her village. The movie will be released July 10.
For everyone who enjoys an entertaining movie in the air-conditioned theater on a hot day, this summer is looking like a promising one.
