Music, memories make this a great festival

In the past few years, there has been a big debate all over the internet about whether Coachella is worth the price and the extreme weather. The festival is worth attending if the people going really love fashion and music.

The price of a general admission ticket is usually the biggest argument against Coachella. In perspective, the event provides multiple performances from the biggest names in music. Seeing all the artists performing at Coachella individually would cost much more than the price of one festival pass. Coachella provides shows by dozens of big name artists and lesser-known performers all in one place, over just a few days.
People often complain about hotels and Uber prices, but car camping is less expensive. A lot of influencers go this route, and they decorate their vehicles and make them comfortable. Car campers also are already on the ground, so they don’t have to pay for Uber, and they can bring their own food to the campground, solving a lot of the main concerns.

Coachella is also a great place to discover new music. While there are famous headliners, there are also many smaller artists performing earlier in the day. Fans might go in excited for one artist but leave as a fan of several new ones. That makes the experience even more valuable.

It’s also a major social event: People go with friends, meet new people, and create memories that last a long time. Between the music, the atmosphere, and the overall value, Coachella can be totally worth it for people who enjoy live music and big events.

The festival is a waste of time and money

The main reason why people have such a desire to go to Coachella is that they see the experience online and mostly from influencers’ point of views.

It has gotten to the point where Coachella has been dominated by influencers and what they’re doing – instead of the music. It now revolves around brand deals and promoting style, losing the feeling of a music festival.

In reality the only way someone who is not famous can get the same experience shown online is with wealth or a brand deal.

Although the price of general admission tickets are somewhat reasonable, there are many other factors like food, living arrangements, and restrooms that people have to take into account.

People end up spending thousands of dollars just to live poorly for a week. Oftentimes they have to wait in extremely long lines to use a communal bathroom. Only people who have campers or can afford to stay somewhere don’t have to deal with the issue of finding a time slot to shower.

Finding basic needs like food is also a stressful situation. Attendees have to wait in a long line for overpriced food, which is never a fun experience. It can also take away from enjoying the music, which is the main event of Coachella.

Due to its location and time of the year, the festival is also known for its unbearable heat and dangerous winds. Add in the large crowds all trying to get close to the stage, and it becomes even more uncomfortable.

The “Coachella cough” is one of many health issues attendees will get. It’s caused by the dust that people inhale while staying there.

The costs of going overshadow the memories that are made. It only leaves feelings of regret and a large loss of money in bank accounts.
