Baldwin high school’s bowling team competes at Legacy Lanes in Whitehall.

The bowling team placed sixth at the WPIBL championships on Wednesday, qualifying them to move on to regionals.

“Going to regionals feels good,” junior Brady Malloy said.

Junior Kelson Kleinhampl bowled a 205, which was the highest score in any of the games the Highlanders played.

Junior Chase Mussomeli said that the atmosphere helped Baldwin perform well.

“There were a lot of people there. It was great hearing the crowd cheering,” Mussomeli said.

Malloy thought the Baldwin bowlers did well by keeping their composure.

“The team stayed calm and did not let the mistakes get to them,” Malloy said.

Mussomeli agreed that the team did well throughout the entire competition.

“We bowled pretty well. (We) were consistent, and put up some nice scores,” Mussomeli said.

Regionals will be held Wednesday at AMF Mt. Lebanon Lanes.
