Pink takes over Mingo Park

BY JULIA DEGREGORIO
Staff Writer

The boys and girls cross country teams are once again honoring their coach, Bunny Schmidt, who is battling breast cancer, by having a second annual “pink out” at the Mingo Classic today.

Junior Erica Koenig says this is to thank her for all she has done for the team.

“My favorite thing about Bunny is her humor and optimism even though she’s going through something hard,” Koenig said.

This is the second year of the “pink out” and the team hopes to make this a tradition to honor Schmidt.
