Bing Crosby, one of the most influential figures in the music industry of the 20th century, is one of the first names that comes to mind whenever the topic of Christmas is mentioned. Born in 1903, Bing Crosby gained his popularity through his Christmas covers, garnering a staggering 41 number-one hits.

Those craving an old-timey and warm Christmas feeling should listen to the album Bing Crosby – Christmas Classics.

There are many classics that everyone in the United States must have listened to at one point during the Christmas season – whether that be in a mall, grocery store, or on the radio. Crosby is such a staple in holiday music that his covers have gained more attraction than the original songs due to his unique and aurally appealing vocals.

Many of his Christmas hits elicit a nostalgic feeling, as his voice presents a typical mid-20th-century melody.

“It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” is most recognizable with his signature baritone enunciations, as is “Frosty the Snowman,” which radiates joyful and youthful tones.

Crosby puts a spin on “Winter Wonderland ” as he utilizes a jazz-like and slow melody that effectively complements his voice.  “White Christmas” has delightful harmonies that mimic a Disney-like melody. The whistling segments truly emulate the feeling of a warm Christmas.

Overall, for those needing to properly get into the Christmas spirit, listening to Bing Crosby – Christmas Classics will do the trick, as his classics are the epitome of Christmas.
