The Baldwin Highlander Marching Band placed fourth at PIMBA Championships on Saturday at Moon.

The Highlanders earned 85.275 points, falling just .263 behind Upper St. Clair’s band, which placed just above them in the last competition as well.

The band performed well and stayed synchronized, despite having nine members missing from the competition, senior Lexi Ogrosky said.

“I’m satisfied with how the season finished off because I think we put our all into it and made it the most enjoyable season,” Ogrosky said.

Ogrosky and Graham agreed that senior Sam Poznick stood out.

“She knows the material very well and is passionate about it,” Ogrosky said.

Senior Julia Graham said the team could improve their focus for next year.

“We need to work harder and have the drive to do better,” Graham said.

The band will be traveling to Chicago in March for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
