3 students honored for Steel Center work

BY SAMI SCHERRER
Staff writer

Knowing how to repair and maintain automobiles or sustain electrical systems is a hard skill to obtain, but three Baldwin students have been recognized for their efforts in these fields.

Baldwin students Dan Belle, Dustin Pyeritz, and Ryan Doran were honored as recipients of Steel Center’s “Extra-Effort Award” for the month of February and were recognized at the Feb. 12 school board meeting for their accomplishments.

Doran, who studies auto mechanics at Steel Center, feels honored to have received the award.

“It’s an honor to win the extra effort award and I appreciate being recognized at the board meeting,” Doran said.

Doran plans on applying his education from Steel Center by becoming a heavy diesel mechanic and operator.
