Movie review: Frozen

BY CASEY MONTANA

5 stars

Frozen offers an abundance of comedic relief with a very thematic storyline. Princesses Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kirsten Bell) discover that true love is not always romantic in nature. Princess Elsa was born with magical powers and due to an accident she is forced to isolate herself from her kingdom and her family. As the years go by she fails to control her powers and on her coronation day everything goes awry. Princess Elsa runs off into the mountains and her young sister chases after her. With the help from an ice maker, a reindeer, and a witty snowman, she eventually finds her runaway sister and they make amends. Cynical characters show their true colors and Princess Anna learns the lesson that family is most important. This Disney princess movie is perfect for a young girl and her family. With catchy songs, romance, and comedy, Frozen is sure to satisfy the youth in wintertime.
