Oops, she did it again. Britney Spears tried to get herself back on top in the pop world, but once again, she has failed. With the release of her eighth, and what she calls her “most personal album”, the songs still seem to lack much other than annoying beats and auto tune. They supply good, catchy dance music but nothing much more. There are, however, a few songs that standout among the rest. “Perfume” is a slower song that shows her vocal talent; unfortunately, it’s one of the only ones to do so. “Chillin’ With You” features her sister, Jamie Lynn. The song is not bad, and nicely shows both sisters’ voices. It is a fun, airy song, but gets to be annoying with the repetitive chorus. Overall, some songs are reminiscent of her older material, but they lose their appeal and become boring as they go on. While the album is decent and has some good songs, those wishing for Britney to return to her older music will be disappointed.
