After winning the USC tournament last week, the girls volleyball team beat Upper St. Clair last night. They won 3-1 in a best out of 5.
Though they are out of section, Upper St. Clair is considered a tough team to beat.
“We’ve never really played them in the past, but we’ve seen them at tournaments and played them in a scrimmage a few weeks ago,” senior Miranda Hampsay said. “I think we’ve improved tremendously since then.”
The standout players were senior Mallory O’Brien and junior Madison Sgattoni, Hampsay said.
“Mallory is just the best setter we could ask for,” Hampsay said.
