The Baldwin softball team got their third consecutive win on Wednesday, defeating Norwin, 8-2.
Senior Jordan Gerendash said Baldwin hit consistently and made good plays in the field.
“We did really well on the defensive side and our hitting let us get ahead,” Gerendash said.
Junior Melina DeFelice said senior Reese Temme played a key role.
“She hit a triple and knocked in three runs,” DeFelice said.
DeFelice said sophomore Camryn Temme got the momentum going with her home run in the second inning.
“After Cam’s home run, we started scoring more and doing better,” DeFelice said. “When one of us has a good play, it’s a whole cycle and we all start playing our best.”
Gerendash said Norwin put in a good effort.
“Their defense was good,” she said. “They made good plays in the outfield.”
Baldwin’s next game is against West Mifflin at 7 p.m. today.
