The boys track team finished third in the WPIAL team semifinals at Baldwin High School on Tuesday.
Norwin placed first. The other schools competing were Uniontown, Canon-Mac, and South Fayette.
Sophomore Nasir Anderson said junior Logan Breisinger stood out during the meet, scoring second in the 300 hurdles.
“He competed really well against the other teams and got a lot faster,” Anderson said.
Anderson, meanwhile, ran multiple events and had a particularly strong performance in the 400 meters, as he finished in third.
“I did really well and I even ran a PR,” Anderson said
The girls and boys track teams will still compete in invitationals, and there will be a “last chance” meet for athletes to try to qualify for individual WPIALs.
