Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha has been on a dominant run in the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship season. Through 14 races, they have won 13 of them. Seth Hammaker of Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki is the only non Yamaha winner this year.
Star Racing has had five different winners this season, with Haiden Deegan winning six, Cole Davies winning four, and Max Anstie, Pierce Brown, and Nate Thrasher each having one win to their names.
The full professional team currently has Deegan, Thrasher, Davies, Anstie, and newly moved up, amateur-turned-pro Landen Gordon. Star also has Brown and Michael Mosiman; however, they are both out with injuries right now.
In terms of history, the 2023 Honda and 2004 Kawasaki team are tied for the best 250 Supercross seasons all-time, with 14 wins and an East and West Coast title.
The 2023 Honda team fielded brothers Jett and Hunter Lawrence, who dominated both of their championship titles. Jett won the West Coast title and Hunter won the East. In 2004, Kawasaki had James Stewart Jr. and Ivan Tedesco, who both went on to have successful careers. Stewart won the East Coast title and Tedesco won the West.
1991 and 2012 Honda are tied at 13 wins and two titles, but Star Racing Yamaha could pass both of them because there still are three races left in the season. They already have one title clinched with Deegan, and Davies has a sizable lead that he can clinch.
Gordon has two pro races under his belt so far, with one of them being a podium, so it would not be surprising if he wins one of the final races.
The schedule to end the year has one East Coast, a West Coast, and an East/West showdown. If they can win two more of the three races, they will have the lone lead in the 250 class for most wins in a season all-time.
If Star can sweep the final three rounds, they will end the season with 16 wins out of 17, which will be the all-time record and undeniably hard record to take down in the upcoming years.
In another view, Star racing has filled 23 of 42 of the podium spots this season. This means that 55% of the spots on the podium have been filled by a Star Racing Yamaha racer.
Round 15 takes place in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field this weekend. Qualifying starts at 1 p.m. Eastern and the racing action kicks off at 7 p.m. Can Star Racing tie up the 2023 Honda and 2004 Kawasaki team, or will it have to wait another week?
