Baldwin High School hosted its first ever TEDx talk on Thursday, featuring 18 presentations by students, teachers, alumni, and retirees. TEDx talks are 8-12 minute monologues on ideas worth spreading.
The overall topic discussed was connectivity, and students’ discussions ranged from the importance of disconnecting from cell phones to connecting with students in the classroom in less traditional ways.
English teacher Dr. Daniel Harrold organized the event, which included a live stream of the presentations.
“It was an awesome experience. Everyone did a really great job and presented some cool ideas,” said senior Dennis Doyle, who gave a talk on the importance of art education.
