The boys volleyball team shut out Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School on Tuesday, 3-0.
Senior Alex Kelly stood out for Baldwin, senior Dylan Leonhardt said.
“Every time we set up the ball, he just put it to the floor,” Leonhardt said.
Leonhardt said the team has been performing with high skill at each game.
“We played pretty controlled the whole game, which is our goal,” Leonhardt said.
Leonhardt and freshman Karan Bhujel both said their opponents put up a good fight. Junior Issac Turbak, a setter and outside hitter, played particularly well for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Leonhardt said.
“We started off a little surprised. They were better than we thought,” Leonhardt said.
The next game for the Highlanders is at home at 6 p.m. Thursday against Upper Saint Clair.
