The Baldwin softball team defeated Albert Gallatin, 17-2, on Monday, led by home runs by sisters Reese and Cam Temme.
Sophomore Camryn Temme hit a grand slam and a three-run homer. Senior Reese Temme hit a two-run home run.
Reese Temme praised her sister’s performance.
“I’m proud of her. I think she’s doing really well,” Reese Temme said. “I think she’s stepping up at her young age.”
Throughout the game, the Highlanders brought the same energy from their previous games.
“Everyone played up to the standard we expect,” Reese Temme said.
The team’s coordination and teamwork were also key highlights of the night, sophomore Julianna Ditoro said.
“I think we’re looking pretty good. Our team chemistry is pretty amazing,” Ditoro said.
Baldwin is in first place in the section, with a perfect record of 10-0.
The team has two tough section games coming up in their quest for the section championship. The Highlanders play Trinity at home at 5 p.m. Wednesday, and then they face Thomas Jefferson at home at 5 p.m. Thursday.
