Baldwin Boys volleyball swept Peters Township Tuesday night, 3-0.
Sophomore Christian Jones was a standout player against the Indians.
“He was just dominant on the block and overall played really well,” sophomore Julian Noone said.
Sophomore Biswas Mongar also applauded Jones.
“Christian got us points when we needed them and put up a block when we needed the block,” Mongar said.
Mongar highlighted the team’s blocking, which kept opportunities open for Baldwin to make plays.
“I think blocking was really good,” Mongar said. “Austin (Kruszewski) and Christian had some really good monster blocks.”
The Highlanders played smart and reacted positively to Peters Township’s hits.
“We passed in serve receive very well and didn’t give them easy points,” Noone said.
Peters Township didn’t go down easily, giving Baldwin a good game.
“Peters hit very well from the middle and got some impressive kills,” Noone said.
One thing the Highlanders need to work on is not starting the game slowly, Noone said.
The Highlanders will take on North Hills away at 7 p.m. Monday.
