The girls lacrosse team lost 20-2 to Canon-McMillan on Monday.
Senior Taylor Hucic said Canon-McMillan’s offense played really well, and they could transition from offense to defense easily.
“It was kind of an aggressive game,” Hucic said. “Our team did very well keeping our heads level and not getting out of control.”
Hucic thinks the team needs to focus on improving their passing.
“There were a lot of balls that we dropped,” Hucic said. She also said the team should improve on their communication, especially on defense.
Despite the loss, Hucic said the team is not too upset and has a positive attitude toward the game.
“I think we’re very good at never getting down on each other,” Hucic said.
Sophomore Maddie Murphy said that the team had a couple of good moments.
“We did a few good transitions of the ball down the field,” Murphy said.
Murphy noticed the attitude of the team changing the further they got in the game.
“We didn’t have too much energy to start, but we picked it up as the game went on,” Murphy said.
She said the team looks forward to the next game and aims to improve.
“We’re going to put our best effort into the next game,” Murphy said.
The team’s next game is today against Bethel Park.
