Baldwin fell 12-0 to Greater Latrobe on Wednesday in a continuation of a game that started last week but had been canceled halfway through.
According to senior goalie Alex Myers, Greater Latrobe had a strong showing.
“They moved the ball well, but their biggest advantage was they didn’t seem nervous,” he said. “They had much more energy.”
Senior midfielder Michael Shoeb said Baldwin needs to improve offensively.
“We have to improve on moving around on offense and getting more shots on net,” Shoeb said.
Myers agreed.
“Our biggest issue is for sure offense. We need to work on getting possession more so we can score,” he said.
Shoeb said seniors Josh Staudt and Evan Szpara played well.
“Szpara played great defense, and Staudt stood out to me with his grit,” Shoeb said.
There is hope for the team moving forward if they can improve their offense to build on a strong defense.
“We do have a good defense. If we can work on our off-ball movement and offensive possessions, we have what it takes to win,” Myers said.
They will face off against West Allegheny at 6 p.m. today at home.
