Baldwin bowling finished fifth in the team WPIAL championship Wednesday night and has qualified for regionals.
Bowling playoffs require all teams to bowl three games, then the scores are calculated and compared with the other teams’ score to determine standings.
Junior Cooper Sturges said the team is feeling confident heading into regionals.
“Yeah, I’m feeling pretty good about it,” he said.
Surges pointed out Tyler Geary as a standout player at the WPIALs competition.
“Tyler Geary did well. He had three really good games,” Surges said.
Surges said that while the team is doing well, they could work on their consistency.
“We need to get more consistent. I think that’s what will really help,” he said
Several team members will bowl at WPIAL singles championships on Wednesday and Thursday. Team regionals will be later this month.
