The Baldwin boys basketball team defeated Elizabeth Forward 75-55 in an away game on Monday.
It was a great game for Baldwin, with the Highlanders leading the entire game. Sophomore Sadiq Anderson said the team in general and the seniors especially played well in this last game of the season.
“We did great for the seniors’ last game. I think they did good,” Anderson said. “They did get a lot of rebounds and passed the ball around,” Anderson said.
Senior Nico Macurak in particular had a standout performance, he said.
“For his last game, he had a lot of rebounds and putback layups,” Anderson said.
Anderson noticed the younger players for Elizabeth Forward had a strong game.
“They had a couple of underclassmen who shot the ball really well,” Anderson said.
For the players who will return next year for the Highlanders, Anderson said they can use the time during the offseason to improve.
“During the offseason, I think a lot of the players can get in the gym, get more shots up and get better,” Anderson said.
