The unified bocce team won over Thomas Jefferson on Monday night.
The bocce team is divided into two teams for matches. Senior Ella Schwarzmiller said her team did very well.
“We worked on our strategies in our last practice, and that led us to both of our wins,” she said.
With the regular season wrapping up this week, senior Kirsten Fohr said the team has played well overall this year.
“We won all of our matches yesterday. We didn’t play too well against South Park, but the games before that we tied and won them in golden frames, so it has been pretty good this season,” Fohr said.
With senior night at 3 p.m. tonight at home against Mt. Lebanon, Fohr is anxious to see what the team will do.
“I’m excited. I think we have a good chance of winning. We are really close to making playoffs, so if we win this game we have a shot,” Fohr said.
Schwarzmiller said tonight’s senior night match will be emotional.
“It is really sad because I love bocce,” she said. “Hopefully we play really well so we can make it to playoffs.”
Fohr shouted out Schwarzmiller for her work this season.
“Ella Schwarzmiller has been doing pretty good. She’s always really accurate with her rolls,” Fohr said.
