The Baldwin boys hockey team fell to Penn-Trafford 4-1 on Thursday.
According to junior Gio Falce, Penn-Trafford did a great job moving with the puck.
“They’re good skaters and very good with the puck,” he said.
Baldwin was missing several players going into the game and struggled to adapt.
“We have two injuries and four suspensions, which makes it hard,” Falce said.
Baldwin has had a decent season and, according to Falce, is better than last season’s team “by far.” Even with the loss, they had positive takeaways from this game as well.
“Our forechecks and backchecks were good,” he said.
Freshman Preston Kossler had a standout game and helped make their loss a little less painful.
“He did very well tracking the puck, especially against a good shooting team,” Falce said.
Falce believes the most important thing to do following a loss is to stay positive.
“No matter the loss, we need to get right back up and keep playing. Even with a loss of players, we can’t expect to lose,” he said.
Baldwin’s hockey team now has a break and will play next at home at 7 p.m. Feb. 12 against Cathedral Preparatory School & Villa Maria Academy.
