The Baldwin bowling team defeated Central Catholic 2-1 on Friday.
While Baldwin lost the first game, they were able to pull out wins in the next two for the victory.
“We didn’t bowl well in the first game, and then we really brought it back in the second and third,” junior Cooper Sturges said.
Junior Tyler Geary bowled well in all three games, Sturges said. Junior Michael Quallich also had a strong match.
Central Catholic, meanwhile, did well with bowling strikes.
“They were striking, and it was their home lanes,” Sturges said.
Baldwin has had a strong season so far, with this match bringing their record to 5-2. Sturges has confidence for the rest of the season.
“I feel like we could probably pick up a few more wins,” Sturges said.
The team’s next match is at home against Thomas Jefferson at 3 p.m. today.
