The Baldwin bowling team fell to Thomas Jefferson last Wednesday.
According to junior Tyler Geary, Thomas Jefferson’s win was due to their ability to throw the ball consistently.
To prevent further losses like this one, Geary said the Highlanders need to make a few changes.
“We could have had a cleaner game and made adjustments quicker,” Geary said.
The problems the team had in this game are a reflection of their season so far.
“We need to do better at picking up strikes, and when the lanes aren’t going our way, we need to make adjustments and see what we can do,” he said.
However, there are positive takeaways from this game that show potential for the remainder of the season. Geary believes there is a positive future for this team.
“We have been working well together, and at the end of the day, we have good team chemistry,” he said. “We want to hopefully win the section and at least make the teams event for regionals.”
Sophomore Joseph Renzi had a standout game despite the loss, Geary said.
“He made changes according to the lane conditions well and also picked up his spares,” Geary said.
Their next match will be at 3 p.m. today against Carlynton.
