The Baldwin boys basketball team rallied to tie Peters Township on Tuesday night, but fell short 66-63 in overtime.
Junior Evan Golvash said that Baldwin’s offense could have been better.
“We had to move the ball more on offense and penetrate the middle,” Golvash said.
Even though they lost, the team never gave up, Golvash said.
“We battled for the whole game and took it to overtime. We all just played well,” he said.
Golvash said Peters Township’s offense was their biggest strength.
“(Peters) executed on offense,” Golvash said. “They got us up in the air and got fouls.”
Even though Baldwin lost, Golvash said that some of his teammates had good games.
“Jackson Otto played well. He finished well around the rim,” Golvash said. “Max Marzina also played hard and just had a good game all around.”
This was the team’s first section game. Baldwin’s next game is 7:45 p.m. Friday at home against Trinity.
