The Baldwin hockey team lost to Bethel Park 10-0 on Tuesday night.
Junior Jacob Kaercher said the Highlanders did not play a solid game.
“We had a pretty rough showing all around,” Kaercher said. “Our offense and defense struggled throughout the game.”
The energy wasn’t there for the Highlanders from the beginning of the game, he said.
“I don’t think we came ready to play,” Kaercher said. “We need to come out and play our game, which we were unable to do.”
The Highlanders defeated Bethel Park in their first matchup of the season in a close battle. But Kaercher said it was a different game on Tuesday night.
“We all expected a better game, and we were all kind of shocked at how badly it went,” Kaercher said.
Baldwin cannot let this ruin their season, he said.
“We need to be able to bounce back after a tough loss like this,” Kaercher said. “We’ve been good at not getting down on ourselves, so hopefully we can win our next game.”
The Highlanders next game will be at 7 p.m. Monday at home against Wheeling Park.
