Baldwin’s Marvel Rivals team continued its undefeated streak by beating Devon Prep 2-0 on Thursday.
Senior Braydon Parker said the team played well.
“We had good communication, and we had good call-outs,” Parker said.
Senior Zach Czapko stood out for Baldwin, Parker said.
Devon Prep was missing some of their players due to a school trip, but they still did well, Parker said. They separated Baldwin’s players and made it more difficult for team collaboration.
“We couldn’t play as grouped as we usually do, and that’s what our biggest problem was,” Parker said.
Baldwin has maintained its perfect record, giving them an advantage as playoffs near.
“We’re the only undefeated team in our league, so we are guaranteed the number one spot,” Czapko said.
Going forward, the team needs to improve their overall teamwork to prepare for the next match.
“We need to work on how we’re going to play well as a group, instead of people working individually,” Czapko said.
The next match is on Thursday against an opponent that is to be determined.
