The music department will be hosting its first Music in the Schools concerts in conjunction with Harrison Middle School classes next week to promote music education.
The orchestra concert will be on Tuesday, the band concert will be on Thursday, and the choir concert will be next Friday. All performances will take place at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
Greg Steele, band and orchestra director, believes that awareness must be raised for music education.
“Music is an inherent part of humanity, so it should really be made available for students,” Steele said.
