It’s kickoff time for intramural program

BY ALEX BUTELLI

Staff Writer

Physical education teachers Tim Laughlin and Sam Kuharic have established an after-school intramural program for students to participate in various activities or sports.

The program will take place every day before school at 7 a.m. and after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:25 to 3 p.m.

Basketball is not the only sport included in the program. Other activities like archery, Frisbee, and speed ball will take place.

All students are encouraged to join. There is no sign-up form and no cost.

Laughlin sees it as a productive use of free time for students.

“It’s our intramurals program that gets everyone involved and active,” Lauglin said.

He will also be looking into a sports tournament to take place on a weekend. It will be some type of fundraiser to support a good cause, he said.
