School pays off for Challenge Program winners

BY HANNAH KAIL

Staff Writer

Ten Baldwin students have won awards from The Challenge Program and received checks for $200. Winners included Kenzie Eggert, Stephanie Teahan, Annemarie Cappurccini, Stephanie Bott, Daria Och, Jillian Weida, Harrison Solenday, Evan Isaacs, Dwane Kunkel, and Prakash Wagley.

These students were rewarded for excellence in the areas of attendance, academic improvement, academic excellence, STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and community service by The Challenge Program, which partners with businesses to introduce students to future careers.

“I turned in the documentation for my hours about a month ago, but I wasn’t expecting to win. I was so surprised,” Cappurccini, winner of a community service award, said.
