Baldwin team wins “most green” contraption award

Everyone knows the importance of recycling, but Baldwin’s team in the Rube Goldberg competition took the idea to heart and came away with the “most green team” award on Friday at Carnegie Science Center.

A Rube Goldberg machine uses interlocked reactions to cause another reaction. Baldwin’s 11-student team began working on its contraption back in September, said gifted coordinator Debbie Reynolds.

For its “green machine,” Baldwin’s team used recycled or refurbished items, Reynolds said.
