The boys volleyball team is preparing for playoffs after a 3-1 win against Peters Township on Thursday.

With the win, the team has clinched the second place spot in the section, and the Highlanders will continue to the playoffs. Senior Ryan Shaneman is proud of the way the team played on Thursday.

“We did a good job killing the ball and a really good job setting the ball,” Shaneman said.

Junior Anjal Gurung helped the team get the win, he said.

“He was able to be on every ball as a middle, and he was able to get a lot of kills on balls,” Shaneman said.

The standout moment of the match was when sophomore Brayden Gremba scored the final point, he said.

The team will want to do more work to prepare for playoffs.

“We could serve better, and maybe pass the ball a little bit more consistently,” Shaneman said.
