The Highlander Marching Band is preparing for its competition this Saturday at McKeesport.
Band members said they are excited and feel they have prepared a great amount for Saturday.
“You’re always enthusiastic and excited to do your best,” senior Richie Derrick said. “We anticipate projecting our best performance.”
Derrick said competing with a smaller band this year sometimes has made it harder to keep focused at practice, but the band members have their music memorized and are going to give their all.
