Top voices to compete at Baldwin Idol

BY STERLING JENKINS

Staff Writer

It may not be national television, but Baldwin choir members will have their moment in the spotlight Saturday night at the annual Baldwin Idol competition.

Choir teacher Kristin Tranter inherited the annual event that was originally named the Fabulous 15. He has changed it so that all proceeds go to charities chosen by each performer.

“We changed it into something that helps people in need,” Tranter said.

There will be three teachers who imitate the three judges of American Idol, including the infamous Simon Cowell.

Admission is free for the 7 p.m. event, and every vote costs a dollar.
