Baldwin’s varsity boys soccer team competes in the 4A division.

The boys soccer team fell 4-1 to Taylor Allderdice Thursday night.

The boys started strong, trailing only 1-0 at halftime.

Despite the loss, the boys team improved on their aggressiveness on the field.

Anthony DiCesaro and Chris Sandy “had a good first attacking game,” said senior Mikey Fry.

Senior Jonus Ruvolo agreed.

“Chris played really well. He created a lot of chances for us and kept us in the game by scoring at the beginning of the second half,” he said.

Ruvolo said DiCesaro “also played well. He was in a new position this game and he stepped up. He also gave us a lot of opportunities to score.”

Fry said that “the team can improve by scoring when (they) get attempts.”

Ruvolo said he expects the season to progressively get better as the team works on taking advantage of scoring opportunities.

The next game is on Tuesday at Norwin at 7:30 p.m.
