Baseball falls to Hempfield

The baseball team lost 11-1 against Hempfield on Tuesday night.

This is the second straight loss to Hempfield in the three-game series.

Senior Christian Forgacs said the team needs to put together a more complete effort.

“All aspects of the game weren’t the best, but we need to focus on pitching the most,” Forgacs said.

Forgacs said the Highlanders kept their energy up, and that helped them stay positive.

“I feel like our energy has been better than it used to be, and it helped,” Forgacs said.

Senior Dylan Snyder said the team stuck together.

“We tried all as a team effort,” Snyder said.

Senior Carson Chapel said that the team has improvements that it could make for the next game against Hempfield.

“I think we can improve working together as a team, while doing the little details such as helping your teammate out and helping your team out, and staying focused on the game,” he said.

The next game is on Thursday away at Hempfield.
