For students who roast during gym class or feel themselves sticking to the bleachers during pep rallies, a remedy is on the way.
The school board has approved the installation of an air conditioning unit in the large gym to be used during gym classes and sporting events. Right Electric is installing the unit this week, and upon completion the air conditioning will be activated.
“The installation will probably last until the end of the week,” said Eric Blakeman, a Right Electric employee.
Athletic Director Vince Sortino said that the new air conditioning will be used as needed throughout the school day and during sporting events.
