English teacher Daniel Harrold has been chosen as one of 100 teachers to participate in a digital education program run by PBS.
Harrold applied for and earned a spot as a PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovator. He incorporated such projects as his gamification English class and Twitter account in the application process.
With access to exclusive resources and professional development, Harrold will be able to work with a group of teachers nationwide who have similar goals. He also will travel to Washington, D.C., for an education summit run by PBS.
“This will open up a lot of opportunities not only for me, but for the school also,” Harrold said.
