British girl group Little mix’s new album lacks good lyricism.

British girl band Little Mix has released its sixth studio album, Confetti, but these songs do not have the deep meanings or lyrics that the band is known for.

Songs such as “Confetti” and “Sweet Melody”– arguably the worst song on the whole album — almost sound like “club songs” or dancing songs, which are not on-brand for the group.

It was a huge marketing mistake to make “Sweet Melody” the first song to get a music video instead of “Breathe,” the best song on the album. While the girls looked amazing and danced great in the music video, the song completely ruins it.

Previously, Little Mix has created songs like “Woman’s World,” which touched on sexism and the progress that has been made in recent years, and “The Cure,” which was about overcoming a difficult time in one’s life and coming out a better person.

Almost none of the songs on Confetti can be interpreted as having a deeper meaning. The song “A Mess” is a little exception, as it has to do with being happy for an ex-boyfriend in a new relationship.

While the album is a good option for a care-free listen to four amazing voices, the girls do not deliver when it comes to their lyrics.

Although it is great to see the girls come together again and put out new music, earlier albums LM5 and Glory Days remain this band’s best albums.
