Baldwin’s football team came up just short Friday in its first game of the season, falling to Peters Township, 33-28.
Despite the final outcome, several Highlanders had outstanding performances.
Senior Luke Smorey led the team on defense, pulling down three interceptions.
On offense, junior Doug Altivilla and senior Nick Barca, led the way for the Highlanders.
Baldwin goes on the road this Friday for its second game, a match-up against Plum.
