Baseball plays crucial game to get to WPIALs

The baseball team faces a tough test today at Bethel Park in its quest to make playoffs.
For Baldwin to make WPIALs, the Highlanders must beat Bethel today and then win their last game, and Bethel also must then lose to the top-ranked Canon-Mac.
Senior Peter Greiner said there were several keys to winning today’s game.
“I think we need to continue the good pitching and get an early start on offense,” Greiner said.
The team defeated Bethel earlier in the season with the help of good pitching by senior Anthony Rago and early hitting by the whole team, Greiner said.
The game begins at 4 p.m.
