The girls softball team had a triumphant victory on Friday against Ringgold. They won 15-3, improving their overall record on the season to 9-1.

Among the standout players for the Highlanders were sophomore Addie Tagg, who had a plethora of strikeouts and hit a home run as well.

The girls take on the Big Macs of Canon-McMillan on Tuesday. That game will be for the section title.

The Big Macs have proven to be Baldwin’s biggest competition this year, having several players with Division I talent.

Junior Christina Madden is optimistic about the big game.

“I believe we can win. We just have to stay mentally focused and keep the team together,” Madden said.
