Friday was the last day at Baldwin for security chief Loran Skinkis.

Skinkis said he had not been looking to find a new job, but his neighbor told him about a good opportunity at the U.S. Postal Service.

“Working for the U.S. Postal Service is a federal job. The job comes with good benefits and good pay,” Skinkis said.

He said is looking forward to his new job because it will be beneficial when he decides to retire.

Although his new job will be a step up for him, Skinkis said he will miss the memories he has made at Baldwin.

Some of his favorite memories include the “funny and ridiculous” incidents he encountered with students while being the security chief.

“The students and staff at Baldwin are all so friendly, and make working here feel like home,” Skinkis said.
